The theme is how it appears in the film; the title is how Bermuda wrote it. In the story these glow on a wall of warm glass in Hamilton, argued over at dusk the way other cities argue over football. In reality, they are being rewritten by Bermuda itself.

The world of 2050

An island that runs on fusion, drones, and data people are paid to share — and looks like itself: cedar, limestone, reef. Six laws govern every frame: heritage is the interface; abundance reads as generosity, not gadgets; nothing moves faster than a child's judgment; the ocean is a street; the island is silent; everything is tended.

The story behind

Written, generated and edited solo, in eight days

Bermuda 2050 is the personal creative work of Hannes Heyns — written, generated, and edited solo in eight days with AI tools. It began as ten goals on paper; a global film prize turned them into cinema; and making the film changed the goals in return. The full chain of custody — who owns what, who profits — is public.
